Never Have I Ever

been set up on a date!

i've run into this same old quasi-friend (acquaintance?) 3 times this past week.

he's married and getting his MBA at byu.

he said today (unprovoked), when we ran into each other and chatted again "oh i should set you up with one my MBA buddies, there are lots of single guys."

how does this quasi-friend finally decide to something so nice for me, when all my close friends and families and people who should really care about me never do the same thing?

i hope it all pans out, but if not, at least it occurred to him

i think that is my greatest trouble as a girl wanting a guy --- i don't occur to people

anyways. i'm at the library and falling asleep. i should go home but.... i like my candy drawer in my carell too much.

Tears Dry On Their Own

I have the best niecies.

Words

“Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.”
― Rudyard Kipling

Do you want to make me fall in love with you. Sometimes all you need to do (along with being an attractive man) is use certain little words. The truth of the matter is I'm not always even sure what words are going to set my heart aflutter.
A sweet young looking boy in my class (he looks like he fell off a San Diego beach) told me he liked my blouse today.
Blouse.
My blouse.
I mean, it was the perfect way to describe it. It's not a shirt, it's fancier, (but not like fancy fancy, it's my Cinco de Mayo embroidered hippy blouse) so it's not like he said anything unexpected. But just the word blouse coming from my cute little classmate just made me fall a little bit in love with him.

If he's just said "I like your shirt" I'd still be flattered, but the word blouse just smote me. I'm drugged.

Let's keep talking about Game of Thrones
Even though I knew that Boramir was going to die in the first season I still cried.
Why? Because he also died in the first movie of LOTR. That's just his role. Plus I accidentally looked at IMDB and saw that he was only in 10 episodes.

Why did I cry though?
Because he looked up and saw his daughter, Arya, and his face transformed in a wave of saddness. And then when he looked again and she was gone from the statue he looked lost. Also, I think I like Sansa now. Her hair is simply  too interestingly unsimple for me not to like her.

Listen. If you are really attractive, and you have a brother who is also very attractive, it's inevitable that I'm going to fall in love the both of you.

Context Clues

I love context clues & adverbs.

I was reading a book and saw the word "rue".
I knew what it meant, not only from context clues of that sentence, but from this line in the Phantom of the Opera. "You will rue the day you did not do all that the Phantom asked of you."

Why I brought up adverbs - no real reason - I just immensely appreciate them.
