I Steal Mustard Packets

For lunch I've been really into these healthy little wraps I make.

WRAP

Tortilla
 80 calories and 12 g of Fiber
Product Photo
I don't have to worry about fiber causing problems
I've got a stomach of steel

Cheese
35 calories
I always see these at the grocers not in the fridge
and it freaks me out
what kind of cheese doesn't need to be in the fridge?!
but it's so easy to spread so i just learned to forget the freaky fact

I take this bad boy spreadable cheese and cover the entire tortilla. Then I put the smothered tortilla in the toaster oven. I get a warm, crispy, melty beginning to my wrap.

TOPPINGS

Turkey
50 calories
 1/2 Roma Tomato
bought a paring knife for the office
makes tomato consumption a dream
Spinach
I microwave a big handful of it for15 seconds
it's warm but not limp
i splash it with salt

and i top it all off with the stolen mustard packet.
It all started by using a mustard packet that I found in the knife drawer
It needs just that small packet sized amount of mustard -
not enough to justify buying an entire mustard bottle
and they are just there at hamburger joints
so i stuff a few in my purse
i'm such a freak
i love it

Domestic Godess of the food made on a cast iron skillet variety

Hello I'm no Ashley Wise.
www.colorsareblushandbashful.blogspot.com

I'm no Barefoot Contessa.

And I'm not Bree Van DeCamp Hodge.

I just make really good easy food on a cast iron skillet. Whenever I'm cooking one of my divine little meals I think, oh if I could just feed this to a man he would straight up marry me! I am having a terrible memory lapse but I used to say, the day i make on of these for a boy I'll turn around and he'll be on his knee proposing to me. I turned around after making one for my roomate's [hott like fire] little brother and she told him to get down on his knee. Even as a joke, it was one of the best moments of my life.

Well here I am today, fresh on a simple but outstanding egg sandwich I put together wishing I could have made it for a boy b/c I'd be planning the July 4 wedding right now! I fry and egg on extrememly hot cast iron skillet. I fry 1 piece of Kirkland brand (b/c it's the very best and saltiest and fits best with this meal) lunch meat ham on the pan. Toast a normal piece of bread. Spread a Laughing cow on it. Cut tomato slices all over it. ham. egg. pop the yoke and let it soak up all over. DONE.
It's so good.
I also do a similar bit with chicken, Essence of Emeril, and spinach that makes me go weak at the knees.

"Generally I like it"

I was explaining to my mom,
it's not exacty what a quote says,
as much as how it is said,
for it to stick in my head.

Like when that creepy duke says "Genearlly I like it"
it stuck in my head
anways,

I looked over at my big tumbler of water and thought
Yuck
I have to MAKE myself drink water.
How unhealthy of me, right?
I mean, I was thinking, I do like healthy foods,
I LOVE veggies, and can't live a day without fruit
I thought to my self, I am healthy, as for  healthy food
"Generally I like it"
BUT NOT WATER

I just want Diet Coke
or at least a crystal light packet in my water

Heros & Gyros

Lately I've been super into Greek food so I'm pretty much always thinking about Gyros.
And since it's pronounced the same and Heros I thought I'd use this post to talk about both.

Evita

High Flying Adored.
I'm obsessed with Evita. First of all I just love the movie with Madonna and at work I love to listen to the broadway soundtrack.
Why is she my hero though? She was a crazy power hungry terrible control freak that used people and slept her way to the top? But she was determined and she was never satisfied. I admire her tenacity. What she did was unprecedented. She went from a poor litle girl born to a man's mistress out in the country wasteland to being the First Lady of Argentina (and Juan Peron would have never gotten anywhere if it hadn't been for her) and she was almost V.P. except cancer killed her.

Corrie ten Boom
She is the best person that ever lived. I can't even explain why, you just have to read The Hiding Place. She is the most admirable person of all time. A true heroine. (but not my own personal brand of heroin)

George W. Bush
Even if Shwn thinks I should give up the W. He's wonderful, Republican, Texan and hilarious.

Wino
I'm already sad thinking about the day I wake up and watch the news and they tell me they found poor dear Amy Winehouse dead. She's so sick and frail. But have you heard her voice? Her voice is my hero. Buy her first CD Back to Black and it will change your life. I love her.

Oscar Wilde
What a dandy!
I'm in love with him even though he mocks me.
I have a book of  his quotations (that my wonderful and ever thoughtful KS bosom buddy Brittany Anne got for me). I am in love with every single quote. And then I came across this one, that is mean to me for what I love in him.
"Quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit."
Ah! How humiliating. Oh well, I still love all his short stories and The Picture of Dorian Gray. This guy was nuts which makes him my hero! Read everything he's ever written! It's the most beautiful use of irony and cutting dry humor.
Here are a few diddys I can't help but quote even though it means I'm witless.

*The only way to behave to a woman is to make love to her if she is pretty and to someone else if she is plain*
*I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying*
*All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does, and that is his.*
*I never travel without my diary. One must always have something sensational to read on the train.*
*Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.*
*The very essence of romance is uncertainty.*
*To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.*
*I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.*

Jack Skellington
He's the pumpkin king. I kind of have a crush on him but he is my hero becasue he discovers himself and realizes that we should all love ourselves for who we are and what we are good at.
Also - the song "What's This" is so much fun.
