Oh Remember, Remember...

"I’m not giving you these experiences for yourself. Write them down."
-Henry B. Eyring

"Where would we be if Moses hadn’t written his history of the world??"
-Spencer W. Kimball

We often recieve journals as gifts. I got one this Christmas.
I started to use it at work to write down random thoughts that come to me during the day.

"No one is commonplace, and I doubt if you can ever read a biography from which you cannot learn something from the difficulties overcome and the struggles made to succeed."
-Spencer W. Kimball

As I always do when I begin a journal I wrote this quote on the first page.

"I never travel without my diary. One must always have something sensational to read on the train"
- Oscar Wilde

I've always had this little idea to make and sell pretty little diaries with perfect diary type quotes on them. I imagine they are already sold and come and go at places like Anthropologie. One would of course have the aforementioned quote. But here are someother quote possibilities that I think would make delightful covers.

"Tomorrow is fresh with no mistakes in it"
-Anne of Green Gables
(because so many things we can write down will be mistakes that we can learn from)

"There are somethings you cannot share without ending up liking each other"
-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
(to write of adventures with friends)

"If I had ever learnt, I should have been a great proficient"
-Pride and Prejudice
(journals can be where we express our desires of the past and regrets)

"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us"
-The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
(we write down what we've done today to help us chose where we stand so we know what we can do tomorrow)

I love quotes so that is one of the main things I write in my journals. Maybe one day I'll make and sell these, maybe at Anthropologie? Maybe.....

A journal is the literature of superiority. Each individual can become superior in his own humble life.
-Spencer W. Kimball
